Physician Collaboration
Working Alongside A Healthcare Team
Complex chronic symptoms often involve multiple body systems and may require care from several healthcare professionals.
My role is to support families by helping them better understand lifestyle, environmental, metabolic, and functional patterns that may influence health and resilience.
I believe the best outcomes occur when medical care and systems-based wellness support work together. For this reason, I encourage clients to maintain relationships with their physicians and specialists while we explore factors that may be contributing to persistent symptoms.
My Professional Background
My background in nursing and functional wellness allows me to bridge the gap between traditional healthcare and systems-based health support.
Professional Training & Education
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Board Certified Functional Health Coach
• Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner (FDNP)
In addition to my wellness practice, I work as a Perinatal Quality Nurse Specialist, where I review clinical cases and medical records to evaluate patient care using established medical guidelines.
This work involves evaluating maternal health outcomes and adherence to national standards.

My nursing background provides a strong clinical foundation for understanding complex medical histories and communicating effectively with healthcare teams.
Clinical Experience
Many families who seek functional wellness support have already consulted multiple specialists and undergone extensive medical evaluation.
Often these children or adults experience overlapping symptom patterns affecting multiple systems, including immune, neurological, digestive, and autonomic function.
Families frequently seek support when patterns involve conditions such as:
• PANS / PANDAS
• Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS)
• Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS)
• Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS)
• ADHD or autism spectrum presentations
• chronic digestive dysfunction
• histamine sensitivity
• persistent fatigue, inflammation, or neurological symptoms
My work focuses on helping families recognize patterns that may influence these symptoms, while supporting overall metabolic resilience and nervous system stability.
Systems-Based Approach
My work is grounded in a systems-based framework that examines how different areas of the body interact.
Rather than focusing on a single symptom, we look at patterns related to:
• nervous system regulation
• metabolic resilience and blood sugar balance
• digestion and microbiome health
• immune and inflammatory patterns
• environmental exposures
• lifestyle factors such as sleep, nutrition, and stress load
In my practice, these patterns are evaluated through a structured model called the Phoenix Clinical Mapping Framework, which emphasizes stabilization and sequencing before deeper interventions.
One guiding principle of this approach is that the body must be ready before moving to more intensive support strategies.
Functional Lab Education
Functional laboratory testing may be used as an educational tool to help clients understand patterns related to digestion, nutrient status, inflammation, and environmental exposures.
These tests may include areas such as:
• digestive and microbiome analysis
• nutrient status
• metabolic markers
• environmental exposure patterns
Functional testing in this setting is used for educational purposes only and does not diagnose diseas or replace medical evaluation.
Clients are encouraged to share any laboratory results with their physician or healthcare provider to ensure coordinated care.
Scope of Practice
My work focuses on wellness education, lifestyle support, and functional health patterns.
I do not diagnose or treat medical disease, prescribe medications, or replace medical care.
Medical decisions, diagnoses, and treatments remain under the direction of the client's licensed healthcare provider.
Areas of focus within my scope include:
• lifestyle and environmental health patterns
• nutritional and metabolic support
• digestion and microbiome education
• nervous system regulation
• wellness planning and health education
Collaborative Care
I strongly encourage clients to maintain relationships with their physicians and healthcare providers.

When appropriate and with client consent, I am happy to provide wellness summaries that may help support communication between the client and their healthcare team.
My goal is to complement existing care by helping families better understand lifestyle and functional health patterns that may influence overall well-being
For Healthcare Professionals
If you are a physician or healthcare provider caring for a patient who may benefit from additional lifestyle or functional wellness support, I welcome collaborative communication.
My goal is to support patients and families in a way that respects the important role of their medical care team while helping them explore additional factors that may influence health outcomes.
Clinical Philosophy
Many individuals and families seeking additional wellness support have already pursued extensive medical evaluation and care.
In many complex cases, symptoms involve multiple interacting systems, including the nervous system, immune function, digestion, metabolism, and environmental influences. When these systems are under significant stress, introducing aggressive interventions too quickly can sometimes worsen symptoms rather than improve them.
For this reason, my approach emphasizes stabilization and sequencing.
Rather than pursuing rapid or aggressive interventions, the focus is first placed on supporting foundational areas such as nervous system regulation, metabolic balance, sleep, digestion, and environmental influences. Once the body demonstrates greater stability and resilience, additional layers of support may be considered carefully and gradually.
This approach helps reduce the likelihood of symptom escalation in individuals who may have highly sensitive or reactive systems.
The goal is not to replace medical care, but to help families better understand patterns that may influence health while supporting the body’s capacity for stability and resilience.
